Trustees
What We Do
It is the trustees' job to oversee the church's financial budget, as well as the physical maintenance of the building and grounds.
Diaconate
What We Do
Diaconate works closely with the Pastor in helping with the pastoral ministry and spiritual needs of the church. Some of the duties of Diaconate include setting up the sanctuary and obtaining greeters, ushers and candle lighters for each Sunday service. We participate in the special services for Ash Wednesday, Maundy Thursday, Easter and Christmas Eve. Diaconate also participates in the monthly church cousel meetings as well as providing input for the nominating committee regarding eligible candidates.
Christian Education
What we do
Christian Education is responsible for helping promote and support the educational experiences for the church, like Sunday school, Forum, and Bible Studies. We do annual mission trips, put together a float for the Memorial Day parade, go roller skating, movies, plays, and visit a pumpkin farm in the fall. We also put on fundraisers like Bingo, craft shows, and yard sales. We are in charge of Vacation Bible School every summer.
Christian Outreach
what we do
Christian Outreach committee serves as the liaison between our community and the church in order to provide supplies and services so we may help meet the needs of others. Some examples of our accomplishments are: a Christmas shopping day for families in need, food baskets for families in need, participate in "Light up Rootstown", Easter baskets and food drives for Center of Hope, and helped ring the Salvation Army bell.
